The Bare Minimum Method
What to do when life requires more than you have to give.
What if the problem isn’t that you’re not doing enough — but that you’re trying to fit more into a space that is already full?
A Free Workbook • 30 Minutes • One Honest StepÂ
When everything starts competing for your attention.
Often it’s not one big thing. It’s everything that keeps adding up.
Work. A relationship. Something happening in your family. A decision that keeps coming back because you still haven’t found an answer. And life doesn’t conveniently wait for one thing to be resolved before bringing you another.
So you keep going. You handle what you can. But somewhere along the way, you start adding your own pressure to everything life is already asking of you.
To be more organized. Make the decision. Get back on track. Take better care of yourself. Finally deal with the thing you’ve been putting off.
And before you know it, you’re not only carrying life.
You’re carrying the pressure to be better at carrying it.
A Different Question
What if you stopped carrying everything the same way?
Bare Minimum came from a very simple question:
What do I actually need right now — and what do I genuinely have space for?
Those two things don’t always match. You may need rest and still have a deadline.
This isn’t about pretending those other things don’t matter. It’s about recognizing that something can matter without requiring your attention right now.
The Bare Minimum Method.
Four honest questions. Not a plan for your whole life — just for today.
01
What am I carrying right now?
Start by putting it all in front of you — not only your to-do list, but everything taking up space in your head. Don’t solve any of it yet. Just see it.
Sometimes the first thing you need to recognize is simply: this is a lot.
02
What genuinely requires my attention today?
Not is this important — ask does this need my attention today? Some things do. Others you can set down for now.
You’re not ignoring it. You’re making a conscious decision about where your attention goes.
03
What do I actually have space and energy for today?
Not how much you normally manage. Not what the most productive version of you would do.
What do you actually have available today? That’s simply an honest assessment of the resources you have right now.
04
What is enough for today?
Bring the two together. Maybe it isn’t the full workout — it’s a twenty-minute walk. Maybe you won’t finish the list.
But you can do one thing that matters. That’s your Bare Minimum.
Not Permission To Stand Still
A way of moving from where you actually are.
It’s a way of moving from the place you’re actually in, with the energy you have and the space available to you today.
You don’t need the same strategy for both.
Bare Minimum allows you to adjust without disappearing from your own life — without turning yourself into one more thing that needs fixing.

You don’t always have to do everything.
But you can almost always do something that is yours to do. One honest step from where you actually are.
And sometimes that one step will take you further than ten steps taken at once in ten different directions.
